“Images Suspended in Time, Captured on Film”, is from an ongoing and evolving series of photographs I am shooting. I have used different cameras from my wedding and portrait work; ones that are much less expensive, less complicated. I 've brought these cameras along with me whenever I am traveling, and I 've become drawn to their unpredictable functions and lenses, and the images that they produce that have a timeless painterly quality.
I consider these images gifts.
I feel that I have come full circle with this recent work, from my student days studying fine art photography at the Art Institute of Boston, to my commercial pictures as a wedding and portrait photographer. I keep looking for that balance of passion and practice, in whatever it is I am shooting.
